HLSAnalyzer.com provides both HLS/DASH Validation and Monitoring services at affordable price points. The 24x7 cloud-based monitoring service supports both HLS (.m3u8) and MPEG-DASH (.mpd) streams and is available in multiple geographies. Individual monitoring instances download and analyze all manifests and segments, providing outage notices for stream delivery issues and SCTE-35 stoppages via email and HTTP POSTs. Our affordable monitoring prices make us an ideal choice for both small and large operators. With both a browser-based UI and RESTful APIs, both system operators and developers can fully utilize our service. Monitoring customers can select the geographical region (USA, Europe) when ordering their service.
Transport Stream Extraction (HLS Only): Our service includes advanced transport stream extraction capabilities for SCTE-35 cue markers, CEA-608 closed captions, and CEA-708 closed captions directly from HLS MPEG-TS segments. This feature enables multiple use cases including:
- Compliance Applications: Verify closed caption presence and accuracy to meet FCC regulations and accessibility requirements. Monitor SCTE-35 ad insertion markers for programmatic advertising compliance. Captions and SCTE-35 signals in the transport stream can be optionally archived for up to 30 days for compliance audit trails and historical analysis.
- 24x7 Monitoring Applications: Continuous extraction and analysis of captions and cue markers from live streams. Real-time alerts for missing or malformed caption data, ensuring uninterrupted accessibility compliance.
- Video AI and Text Processing: Extract caption text streams for AI-powered content analysis, search indexing, sentiment analysis, and metadata generation. Enable automated content categorization and recommendation systems.
- Technical Analysis: Deep inspection of CEA-608/708 caption formatting, timing accuracy, and synchronization with video. SCTE-35 marker validation for proper ad break signaling and content segmentation.
All transport stream extraction features are available through our RESTful API with both polling and Server-Sent Events (SSE) modes for real-time streaming data delivery. This enables seamless integration with monitoring dashboards, compliance reporting systems, and AI/ML processing pipelines.
We calculate the price for the continuous monitoring service on a per-stream basis (HLS media playlists or DASH representations):

Transport Stream Extraction Pricing (HLS Only): Add $3.00 per HLS stream to enable SCTE-35, CEA-608, and CEA-708 extraction from MPEG-TS segments. Add an additional $2.00 per stream for TS Archival to store extracted captions and SCTE-35 signals for up to 30 days. These optional features can be enabled during subscription setup or added to existing HLS monitoring services. Note: Transport stream extraction is not currently available for DASH streams.
The minimum monthly configuration per subscription is $24.95 for monitoring five HLS media playlists or DASH representations. You may cancel your subscription at any time.
